SightCity is certainly the largest European show for technical aids dedicated exclusively to the visually impaired.
With around hundred exhibitors regularly present, the SightCity show is often an opportunity for manufacturers to unveil their new solutions or present the latest updates on their hardware or software. And for distributors, it is also an ideal opportunity to complete or renew part of their catalogs with new products adapted to the new needs and demands of visually impaired users.
This year, Cecitech was very happy to be able again after a three-year break due to the pandemic, to meet face to face in Frankfurt on May 10, 11, and 12, with manufacturers from all over the world and to test prototypes of specialized products for the visually impaired.
This annual visit to the Sight City exhibition remains for Cecitech a privileged place to discover new solutions, to see new products, to evaluate current and future trends, and finally, to establish or maintain contact with manufacturers and distributors.
For the 11th consecutive year, Cecitech has ensured effective presence in all Assistive Technologies conferences all around the globe, providing an informational update regarding our company and our dear customers.
The annual CSUN Conference has been the foremost forum on technology for our Cecitech professional team. A global platform from researchers, practitioners, educators, exhibitors, and the perfect place to share the latest on assistive technology.
This conference was held in Anaheim California from March 13-17, 2023.
The conference has offered Pre-Conference Workshops, Keynote Address, Featured Presentations, General Sessions, from home to school to work, AT enhances the lives of millions of persons all around the world and CSUN continues each year to showcase the best in new products and technologies.
From its inception, the CSUN conference has showcased technologies addressing the needs of people in all age groups and with all types of disabilities, exploring advances in education, rehabilitation, employment and quality of life issues. Solutions that were only dreamed about during the first conference in 1985 have become reality and have been improved many times over.
The conference itself was fully accessible, providing information in alternative media such as Braille and large print. For participants who are deaf or hard of hearing, sign language interpreters and real-time captioning was available. Additionally, this year the United States Society of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (USSAAC) provided more than 400 workshops in 16 areas, including blindness/low vision.
we had the chance to try out new products, alternative keyboards and input devices, assistive mobility products, augmentative and alternative communication products, technology for people who are visually impaired, telecommunication devices, environmental controls and daily living aids, educational products, software for individuals with learning disabilities and many other AT solutions.

Additionally, this is your e-newsletter, and we welcome your input.
Hello and Welcome to CECITECH’s First Newsletter!
This year has been very busy, yet exciting so far. we revisited our products list, moved our headquarters into a new facility, and built a regional presence all over the country. There has also been a lot of focus on making the new and improved product list approved by provincial decrees for availability at no cost to clients.
I am proud to say that our team at CECITECH has been a great part in deciding the direction of the company. Our sales team has been able to give us valuable information about our target markets, dealer perspectives and requirements for products in demand.
We moved into our new facility in the middle of April of this year. It’s a 1500 square foot accessible office located at 1700 BLVD Laval in LAVAL, QC. We believe this move will support our growth expectancy with more office space and a show room designed to give clients a hands on feel to our products.
My business travels this year have taken me as far as Europe, The United States, and all over Canada. Meeting with our International Manufacturers, regional dealers as well as existing and new customers, it has given me that much more insight as to what direction we need to take CECITECH in with regards to our product catalogue and overall business processes.
I am very excited about launching our first official CECITECH quarterly newsletter and can’t wait to release some exciting updates this year.
Travel and Conventions
At CECITECH we take pride in delivering to our customers the latest and greatest in the field, that is why we put no limit on how far we will go to guarantee that the products we bring to the table are exactly what our clients want and those that blow other competitors out of the park!
This year we have struck some pretty amazing partnerships with major players in the Adaptive Technology field and have personally met up with representatives from some of those partnerships at conventions that we always take part in such as CSUN 2012 that took place in San Diego, as well as Sight City in Frankfurt Germany.
Regional Presence and New Partnerships
This year has been very big for us at CECITECH in terms of making our presence solid all over the country. Once we were settled in our headquarters we started focusing on making it easier for our customers to reach us and for us to meet with them. That is why we have decided to open up regional offices throughout the country so that our clients have a local contact to work with.
